Love paranormal romance?
Check out today’s author spotlight with author K.D. Miller. I sat down to talk with K.D. about books, her writing process, and more!
1. What type of romance do you like to write?
Paranormal is my favorite, but I’ve just started dipping my toes into Contemporary and it’s been really fun! Took a little bit to get used to no one having powers or fangs though 
lol
2. Do you have a favorite book that you’ve written?
Whew, that’s a tough one! I think my favorite would probably be Evansfire (which is a NA fantasy novel), but Sweet Tempest (Poseidon retelling/PNR) is a close second!
3. What’s your favorite type of scene to write?
The spicy scenes are always fun! but I (probably weirdly) also love writing those gut-wrenching, heart breaking scenes. I’ll literally sob over my keyboard as I write them, but I love it! The running joke with my best friend and always alpha reader is that I’ll get her to call me a monster at least once a book for ripping her heart out lol.
4. Which one of your books should readers try first?
I would say Dark Burning (Hades + Persephone retelling and 1st in my Veracity of the Gods series) or Red (dark Red Riding Hood retelling). These are both Paranormal Romance.
5. When you’re not busy writing, what do you like to do for fun?
Chase my almost-six year old around mostly! 
My husband is in the Marine Corps and has been gone A LOT over the past few years, so spending time as a family now that he’s (mostly) home is always fun.
