I really love the fake relationship/fake dating trope.
What about you?
Recently, I rewatched The Proposal. I haven’t seen that movie in ages and it reminded me of why I love the fake relationship trope so much. There’s just something that’s so much fun about high stakes situations where everyone has to sneak around. It’s even more fun when you calculate how much lying is involved, and what’s at stake if anyone finds out!
I have quite a few fake relationship stories (including a bundle of them you can get from me at a discount – scroll down for more info on that!). One of my favorite things to do as a writer is to play with the idea that my characters have to hide from their friends and family, plus they have to figure out what secret their partner is hiding. Most of the time, it’s the fact that they’re a shifter!
